First if you are usin the mixer then use the flat beater like the one in this pic.
Then Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)
1-In the bowl of your electric mixer , beat the butter until smooth and creamy.
2-Add the white and brown sugars and beat until fluffy (about 2 minutes).
3-Beat in eggs, one at a time, making sure to beat well after each addition.
4-Add the vanilla and beat until incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
5-NOW in a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. (dry ingredients )
6-Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and beat until incorporated then add the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) about half way through mixing.
PS: If you find the dough very soft, cover and refrigerate until firm (about 30 min).
7-For medium cookies, use about a 1 tablespoon ice cream scoop or with spoons, drop about 1 tablespoons of dough on the prepared baking sheets.
8-Bake about 10 – 12 minutes, DO NOT BAKE IT MORE THAN 12 MIN !!
9- Cool completely on wire rack.
